Verse 1

Many many years ago

In the little town of Bethlehem

A little babe was born

The Lord and Prince of peace

To a world of sin and death

He came with news of hope and life

He came his love to share

The Lord and Prince of peace

Refrain

May this Christmas be a special one

May your coming baby Jesus

Teach us your humility

And your simplicity

Feeling us with your Love

And bringing peace to Men of goodwill

Verse 2

There was mourning in the city of David

There was weeping in the city of  Jerusalem

He came Messiah foretold

To set his people free

They cried for the burden was heavy

They cried for the chains of captivity

He came the Saviour foretold

To set his people free

Verse 3

He came to teach us selflessness

He came to teach us gentleness

He came to clean our bitterness

He came to teach us love

Love is all about giving

Love is my Christmas gift

Give and give and give

Let the joy of Christmas spread

Verse 4

The more you give the more you get

The more you laugh the less you fret

The more you give unselfishly

The more you live abundantly

The more of everything you share

The more you will always have to spare

The more you love

The more you will find that life is good

And friends are kind
